Environmentally correct substitute for rice, it may be packaged in tulle, tied off with ribbons, and given to guests to “shower” on the bride and groom as they exit their wedding ceremony. |
| Bouquet |
A pleasing group of flowers brought together that can be held in one’s hands—especially a bride’s. |
| Boutonniere |
A single bloom or multiple ones that grace the lapel of the groom and his bridal party. |
| Bridal |
In the ancient world there was no marriage. Men captured women from neighboring tribes and took them “to wife”. In Israel, when a man captured a woman, he spent the night with her drinking “mead” liquor made from honey. The drink was called bride ale and the “night” became known as the honeymoon. |

Woman who is married. She holds the title for one year. |

Close friends and family of the bride and/or groom that make up her bridal party. There may be as many as the bride chooses. |

A fast-fading custom, this luncheon is hosted by the bride for her maids in appreciation for their help and support in planning her wedding. |

The money you will spend on your wedding. Set your budget after “wedding” shopping. Get a feel for what wedding venues/vendors cost. Set a realistic budget and don’t go over it! |
