| Groom |
The guy who marries the bride and usually plans the honeymoon. |
| Groom’s Cake |
A tradition brought to the United States by the Pilgrims, the first wedding cakes were fruitcakes. The tradition passed through the ages and the fruitcake, served with the bride’s cake, became known as the “groom’s cake”. It was cut, boxed and given to guests as a memento of the wedding and was dubbed dreaming bread. |
| Groomsmen |
Ushers, or those who seat guests at the wedding. Contrary to popular belief, groomsmen and ushers are one and the same. |
| Guest List |
The number of people invited to the wedding. To keep your budget under control, you must control your guest list. |
